Help to Buy Valuations Leatherhead
If your property was purchased with the Government’s Help to Buy scheme and you’re looking to sell, remortgage or sell equity, you will need an independent valuation from a RICS registered surveyor. The valuation is required by Target HCA, a Government provider of Help to Buy loans.
Our chartered surveyors have exceptional knowledge of the property market in and around Leatherhead and can provide an accurate valuation.
Why do I need a Help to Buy valuation?
When you purchase your property with the Government’s Help to Buy scheme you enter a contract with Target HCA who then own a percentage of your property. A valuation is needed to get an independent assessment of the market value of your Help to Buy home.
Target HCA requires homeowners to provide a valuation report from an independent RICS surveyor when they wish to sell, remortgage or buy more equity in their home, the valuation helps to calculate the amount that needs to be paid back.
How do you make a valuation?
Homeowners can get a Help to Buy Valuation by instructing a RICS chartered surveyor who will visit their home to undertake an inspection. Once you have received your Help to Buy report, you have to send it to Target HCA who will calculate the value of our loan which will present you with a repayment figure.
Your Help to Buy Valuation is valid for 3 months, so we recommend holding off carrying out a Help to Buy Valuation until you are certain you are ready to get moving.
